JDU J&K Welcome's initiative of holding Panchayat Elections in Mid Feb | KNO

Srinagar, 26 December (KNO) : Today State Party President of Janata Dal united J&K G.M Shaheen Welcoming the initiative of State Government & especially the personal intervention of Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti for announcing Panchayat Elections in Mid February, Janta Dal United State President G.M Shaheen today said, it was a long pending demand of common People for holding Panchayat Polls as Common People were badly suffering in absence of Elected Panchayat representatives. Shaheen said Panchayat's play an important role in ensuring governance at groos root level. He further said that delay in holding Panchayat Polls has badly affected the People as they were carving for development. Shaheen further said of late but this is a good decision which will go in a long run to ease the sufferings of the People. Shaheen said we welcome this initiative of State Government for announcing the Election Poll's in Mid February, Shaheen praised Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti and said the Honourable Chief Minister should keep her word of holding Panchayat Elections in Mid February. He further said delaying again Panchayat Poll's will badly impact the gross root governance in the State.(KNO)
